first drummer and after keyboard player, he took part in all the studios cds for more than 10 years. He's Robert's friend since the schools and round the two of them and Michael the Cure's nucleus developes. They decide together that Michael has to leave, and when also Simon leaves the band they remain alone. After some year he tells he was sure they would have restarted playing, because their friendship was too strong. During this period he also produces two records of the And also the tree and one of the Baroque Bordello. In 1984 he appears in the b-side "The elephant song" of Tim Pope's single, "I want to be a tree". Meanwhile after "Pornography" Lol decided to change to keyboards, because he thought he used up his potentialities as drummer. In early 1989 he leaves the band because Robert thinks he doesn't contribute anymore to the work. Lol accuses him to monopolize the band, and in 1991 he takes him in tribunal asserting to have right to more money. In September 1994 he loses the cause. After leaving the Cure he founds his new group, the Presence, who release two singles: "In wonder" and "All I see".
